Remove (and Replace) Mailbox Lock: When a customer has lost their keys to the mailbox you can either pick the lock open or drill the shear line of the mailbox lock with an 1/8″ drill bit. Most mailbox locks it is less expensive and quicker to replace the mailbox lock. In Canada and the USA if the mailbox is located within an Apartment or Condo building it is the responsibility of the owner to duplicate keys and or replace locks. Check with your local Post Office for details.
