Top 2 Deadbolt Locks for Home and Business
Here is the Schlage B660 and the B560 Deadbolts. The B660 is a Heavy-Duty Commercial Grade 1 Deadbolt. The Schlage B560 Deadbolt is a Light Duty Commerical Grade Deadbolt. Both are superior locks to install in Commerical Buildings and Residential Homes. They are both my one number 1 choice for Homes and Condos.
Both Deadbolts are almost exactly the same. Same thumb turn, almost the same bolt. Now here’s the big difference between the two, the main difference… One of the major differences is the B660 comes with a non-adjustable bolt. So you have to order these in either 2 3/8″, 2 3/4″, or the five-inch. And the five-inch is extremely expensive. The B660, you have to order the correct backset. Now with the B560, this is what makes it a great lock. The bolt almost looks the same, but it’s adjustable. I can go from 2 3/8 and a little twist and it’s 2 3/4. So this is great. It’s not as heavy-duty as the beast 660 bolt. It’s pretty good, but the versatility of it is it’s adjustable, like that. Very, very simple, twist and turn, 2 3/8. Oh, I need a little bit longer. There we go. 2 3/8. And it even says top, so it’s… Does this one have top? Yes, no, it does too. So it makes it super easy for installations. So the bolt is different. So we have the light-duty bolt compared to the more heavy-duty deadbolt.
But this one has to be ordered in your specific backsets. This one’s adjustable, and again, you can get a five-inch backset, super expensive. Now, when we look at the locks and the weight right off the bat, the B660 is a heavier beefier lock. There’s no doubt about it. And that’s because you have the ice pick protector and you have a really beefy security collar, which makes for a nice and solid. Where the B560 is a little bit less duty and an integrated built-in ice pick protector. Excellent locks.
The B660, for what it is, it’s a fantastic price. And the B560, which is light-duty or residential. This is the heavy-duty commercial, but I put a lot of these on residential just ’cause I love them so much. They fit in really nice, don’t look different on a residential. They come in multiple finishes. And again, these are my two favorite deadbolts that we sell the most of, the B660 and the 560, both extremely versatile. I can almost put any keyway, Kwikset, Weiser, Sargent as well as the high-security Primus, which is one of my favorite. You can also take an Abloy and a Medeco. Extremely well-made quality deadbolt not offshore made. This is North America and some of the parts are American, some are made in Mexico. I think it’s assembled in Mexico. A lot of the parts are North American made, US-made, it’s a great lock.
